For the last 15 years, rentals have surged while homeownership slipped out of reach. Families are stuck in the rental cycle. Seniors and veterans are priced out of stable housing. Neighborhoods sit underused—vacant lots, abandoned buildings, missed opportunity. If we want different outcomes, we need different tools.

This First Fund exists to file and finalize our 501(c)(3).
Becoming a recognized nonprofit isn’t paperwork for its own sake—it’s the key that unlocks resources that move people from renting to owning:

What we’ll build with that capability


BIOS Ministries focuses on ownership pathways, not just shelter. Your support helps us stand up:

  • ADU and modular home programs that add real, ownable inventory faster
  • Workforce training so local residents are first in line for good jobs
  • Community hubs (“BIOS Centers”) that combine housing, job training, and services in underused buildings—turning empty spaces into engines of dignity and opportunity

Phase 1 — “First Fund” (100% to filing the 501(c)(3))

  • Formation & Filings (25%) — IRS application, state registrations, legal review, accounting setup
  • Grant Readiness (30%) — program budgets, partner MOUs, grant calendar & templates
  • Compliance & Reporting (15%) — donor CRM, acknowledgments, quarterly Founder updates
  • Municipal Outreach (30%) — meetings and documentation to prep city partnerships (no land deposits in this phase)

Note: Every dollar in Phase 1 goes to establishing the nonprofit and making us grant-eligible, match-eligible, and land-eligible.

Founding Members

BIOS Ministries International Inc. is incorporated in Connecticut and our 501(c)(3) application is in process. Until IRS recognition, donations may not be tax-deductible. We’ll update all donors as status changes.
